The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a secure base in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could help the group access places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
