Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Counterattacks.

Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - said they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Additional Developments

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported debris landed in a residential area in the capital, causing some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
