Adult Swim's Leading Fresh Series of 2025 Gets a Substantial Renewal for Seasons 2 and 3.
Last October, Adult Swim debuted a new season of its quirky hit, Smiling Friends. But, not long after, the network unveiled a completely new animated series with a strikingly different vibe. Haha, You Clowns was heartwarming and calm, evoking a cartoon version of a serene talk show. In mid-December, Adult Swim confirmed a big renewal: Haha, You Clowns has been picked up for two more seasons. This provides creator Joe Cappa a massive runway to further explore the story of the Campbell family. The series focuses on three polite teenage brothers whose central trait is their profound affection for their widowed father, with Cappa portraying for all four central characters.
"My deepest thanks go to the audience of the show who gave *Haha, You Clowns* a chance and shared it with others," stated Cappa. "I’m incredibly thrilled that I get to continue exploring the Campbell household for the foreseeable future."
A President's Endorsement
Accompanying the news laudits from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "profoundly sincere and oddly captivating." He specifically highlighted the fans who discovered the show and championed its distinctly quirky appeal.
"All of you supported this new show, championed for it on social media, and helped it grow week over week so we could approve not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. "To quote: 'You are strong! You are loved!'"

“It feels like there's a default mode of irony that we keep returning to,” explained Cappa. “It's like we have to know we’re the smartest person in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for too long, and we need to laugh at something different now. It's time for comedy to grow.”
